Abstract

Unfortunately, there are many reasons to assume that we will not see a marked decline in the number of people diagnosed with and dying from lung cancer any time soon. The reasons for that are manyfold. One very important factor is the strong association between smoking and development of lung cancer which holds especially true for small-cell lung cancer (SCLC).
