Dr. Uramoto is the Associate professor in the Second Department of Surgery (chest surgery), School of Medicine, University of Occupational and Environmental Health (UOEH) in Japan. His research interest currently focuses on prediction for post-operative recurrence after complete resection for lung cancer and investigation for molecular target drug. He has more than 140 publications in the related research field. Dr. Uramoto obtained the Ph.D in 2004, and won the Academic Society Award from Japanese Chest Surgical Society and Japan Lung Cancer Society in 2012. He has gained varieties of qualifications, such as Japanese Society for Respiratory Endoscopy Certification (specialist: approval 2009), Japanese Society for medical oncology (advising doctor: 2010). He has served as the Resident in Department of Surgery II, UOEH since 1994. Dr. Uramoto owns the membership of various academic Societies, such as Japan Surgical Society, Japan Lung Cancer Society, Japanese Association for Chest Surgery, Japanese Association for Thoracic Surgery, Society of Endoscopic Surgery, European life science organization meeting society, Japanese Society for medical oncology, International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), etc.
