Nathan A. Pennell, MD, PhD

Director of the Lung Cancer Medical Oncology Program at the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute, Cleveland, OH, USA

Dr. Pennell is an assistant professor of medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, and also serves as the director of the lung cancer medical oncology program at the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute. He received his Ph.D. in neuroscience in 1998 and his M.D. in 2002 from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL. He then completed his internal medicine residency in 2005 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. His medical oncology fellowship training was completed in 2007 at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He specializes in the care of patients with thoracic malignancies, including lung cancer and mesothelioma, and also performs clinical research in lung cancer.
