Nowadays, the Brazilian Society of Thoracic Surgery (SBCT) is the most important society focused and dedicated to general thoracic surgery in Latin America. SBCT counts on more than 600 members, which also make it the biggest in Latin America as well. Since then, SBCT has been intending to be connected with the upfront scientific production worldwide. The main aim of SBCT website(www.sbct.org.br) is to be a tool for its members in order to be in close contact with the society and also provide scientific informations. Through the member’s area (login required), the Brazilian thoracic surgeons have access to many scientific and educational contents, including an online e-book, a case discussion forum, a web-based video-classes program and foreign medical journals.
